After the study of goat weed ingredients they have chemically changed the main substance icariin and found that it may also inhibit the enzyme that obstructs erection just like Viagra. But due to the fact that this substance affects this enzyme selectively it may not have the side-effects of sildenafil.

"Further studies of course still need to take place on animals and humans but to this point the researchers can assure us that the natural extract is a lot safer then Viagra. Large quantities of icariin can be found in the weed although it's efficacy cannot be compared to Viagra but its derivatives which can be acquired through chemical synthesis are as effective as the internationally renown drug itself" tells us Del Alii.

Other research in Great Britain suggests that strawberry can be called a "natural Viagra" but no clinical studies have been done so far.
